Daylight Savings

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to my Blog! Today I have to answer some questions about Daylight Savings.

When Does Daylight Saving Happen Each Year?

Daylight savings starts on the 27th Of September ( Sunday ) at 2AM and ends on the 4th Of April 2021 ( Sunday ) at 3AM. So it happens every last Sunday of September.

What Year Did Daylight Saving Start On NZ?

It started in 1927. The current times have been fixed since 2007.

Why Was Daylight Saving Started?

People wanted to save money because they didn't want to pay for power and because people want another hour of daylight.

Read the following article and Write A Paragraph On Whether Or Not Do You Think That Daylight Saving Should Continue In NZ.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/107348361/times-up-should-we-end-daylight-saving-in-new-zealand

I think daylight saving shouldn't continue because we are losing a hour of sleep.

Do All The States In Australia Have Daylight Savings? Who Does? Who Doesn't?

In AustraliaDaylight saving is observed in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and Norfolk Island. Daylight saving is not observed in Queensland, the Northern Territory, Western Australia, Christmas Island or the Cocos (Keeling) Islands

Write 3 Tips To Help Others Adjust To Daylight Saving This Weekend.

Go to bed earlier

Relax before you go to bed

Stick to your bedtime routine.

Thank you for reading this Blog Post!

Where are you from and when does your daylight savings start?

See you next time! - Goodbye!

Student Summit

 Hey Everyone,

Welcome back to my Blog. Today I want to talk about my experience at Student Summit.

I was in a group with Shelby, Hayley, Hannah, Riansha and Kirsty.

Our job was to teach others how to use Canva. Since we're at level 2, we did it on a Google Meeting. There we're at least more than 10 Schools there.

After the presentation, we got to join other google meetings to see what other schools were working on but it started lagging and none of us got to look at the other schools work!

Anyways, thank you for reading. I think next year I will do it again.

Would you do the Student Summit if you had the chance?

See you next time! GoodBye!

Maths & P.E

 Hey everyone,

Welcome back to my Blog. It's almost the end of the term so I decided to reflect on my work.

This whole term we have been learning about. Perimeter, Area, Volume and Heart Rates. Let me explain all of them.

1. Perimeter...

To find the Perimeter of a rectangle for example, you have to plus all the sides.

2. Area...

Area is when you multiply the Length and the Width of a shape.

Here is an example of Area and Perimeter.

Group

Perimeter ( M2 )

Area ( M3 )

3. Volume...

Volume is when you multiply the Length, the Width, the Depth.

4. Heart Rates

First we had to check our resting pulse rate by putting 2 fingers on the side of our necks or on our wrist.
Then we did some Exercise then checked our pulse rate.

Creative Writing

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to my Blog. In Wānanga we had to choose a picture and write about it. I chose 2 pictures and these were the pictures that I chose.

Now here is my story!

One day, I was walking around and found an abandoned forest and decided to explore. The branches looked burnt but the leaves still looked fresh.

Soon later, I ran out of water  so I went looking for a place to get water. On the way, I came across a bridge that looked like it was made out of Stone. I walked half way then the bridge magically collapsed, I landed on rocks and had to climb back up a slippery hill. Once I got out I saw a house and wanted to see if someone was living there and if they had any water. I knocked on the door and an old lady opened the door and welcomed me in. She gave me some water and filled my drink bottle. I wanted to keep going because this forest was so interesting. The ground started to shake and fog came out of nowhere and I started to freak out. I followed the fog then I almost slipped into the giant hole full of mist. I wanted to call for help but no one was around to save me. I started drinking the water the old lady gave me, I started coughing and losing my breath...

Thank you for reading my Blog Post!

Have you every had to write a story using Picture Prompts?

Have a wonderful day! Goodbye

Hurumanu 2

Ciao everyone,

Welcome back to my Blog. Today I wanna tell you about Drama with Mrs Clark.
I will be updating you every week about Drama.
But today we had to chose our script.

I chose Cinderella's Dream...
Here's my Script...

I had the strangest dream, my fairy godmother sprinkled happy dust over Anastasia and Drizella, and they were so nice to me!  I know that was only a dream, but it was so nice, that I think I’ll try to pretend that it really happened. Whenever they are mean to me, I’ll pretend they actually said something sweet and kind. “Sure, I’ll wash you dresses, Drizella… I would love to polish your shoes, Anastasia. Right away dear sisters, thank you!”(giggles) did you see their faces! They must to think I’ve gone mad. Did you see how they hurried to their rooms and slammed the doors? They may not actually be caring or good nature, but they’ll be too scared to come out of their rooms for at least a few hours. So … Who’s up for a game of hide-and-seek while we’ve got the run of the house?

Thank you for reading my Blog Post,

How many plays did you do in school?

Have a good rest of your day! Goodbye
