Jessica was born on 18 May 1993.

She is also an Australia sailor who won an Australian Medal.

It took Jessica 8 months to sail the world.

She traveled on a boat named Ella's Pink Lady.

Jessica also wrote some books.

SLJ: The Hudson River

                                                         Hey everyone,

Welcome back to my blog, so today I was supposed to tell you about a time when I was brave or when some else was brave but I can't remember when I was brave or when someone else was brave so I'm gonna show you a video about a pilot named Sully. Here is a video / short story about how safe 155 people.
This video will tell you about the story.

Here is a quick recap.
- There were birds everywhere and they were too close so Sully couldn't fly around them.
- The engines were low.
- They had to land in the Hunson River, which was really cold.
- It started flooding.
-Boats came to rescue them and everyone survived.

SLJ: SPCA

Hey everyone,

Today's blog post is about charities. We had to pick a charity and I picked SPCA.
SPCA stands for Society ( Of The ) Prevention ( Of ) Cruelty ( To ) Animals.

This charity does so much for animals and I am very grateful for it.  


Here are some facts about what SPCA does and how they change the world.
This charity prevents shelters for animals. 
Each year SPCA approximately saves about 1.5 million animals.
SPCA makes sure that animals don't get sick.

SLJ Is Back! Explorers

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to my blog, This is an SLJ Blog post! 
Today's blog post is about explorers and setting sail.
Saying the word Explorer makes me think of The Movie Moana.

There was a guy named Nainoa Thompson.

He sailed the seas with his crew in two humungous canoes ( Hōkūleʻa and Hikianalia )




Now imagine that Nainoa asked you to join the journey for 3 weeks and you said yes. You would need to survive
So today's activity is to think of 10 types of foods you would bring with you and why you want to bring it.
By the way, before we start I need to tell you that I'm doing this activity with my BFF Nevaeh.

1. Snacks and Chips - I have something to eat when I don't want a meal.

2.  Water - I don't have to drink Seawater.

3. Fruits -To stay Healthy

4. Chocolate - So I can have more energy.

 







5. Sushi - I can have something to eat for dinner.

6. Nutella Sandwich - For breakfast

7. Brownies - Another sweet thing to eat when I'm low on energy.

8. Protein bars - To stay Healthy from all the other foods that I am bringing.

9. Pizza - You can eat it while it is cold.

I know I have to pack a food but for number 10 I'm bringing a Cooler.

I'm also gonna have ice packs as well.
