SLJ: Help With Maths

Hi everyone, welcome back to another SLJ blog post.
Just to say I go a cactus for Christmas and I have to take care of it and give it water so it can survive and I have to give it 3ml every day, so my friend Sophia and I worked out that there are 365 days in a year and times it with 3ml and it equals 1095ml and here's how we worked it out

Did you learn something today? Just saying I did not get a real cactus but I had to say it for the activity plus it says I got a cactus for my birthday but I changed it to Christmas because Christmas is coming up. Anyways I wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Byeeeee

  1. Hi Susie,

You have explained the strategy that you and Sophia used to solve this problem really clearly. Is there another way you could solve it?

Remember to always put in the units too - 1095ml.

Great work - that was a tricky problem to solve! What a good idea to solve it with your friend. Maybe you two could work together in the holidays on the rest of the Summer Learning Journey!

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
